Previously I got a technical highschool degree in Electrical Sciences at Pablo Nogués Technical High School - Argentina (1996).

Capillary Viscometer with LabVIEW
Arrangement of emitter and receivers of red light with photosensitivity in the wavelength of 870 nm.
The measurement of viscosity is done by making a curve in LabVIEW with the values obtained from the board.
The fluid under test (in this case an oil derived) is characterized by its rheology. When the fluid runs across the
capillary tube and it intercept the beam of light, it changes the light angle and this variation is received by the
phototransistor through a PMMA optical fiber. The progress of the fluid is displayed both by hardware with blue LEDs
and in the VI.

Complete GPON Network and development of an ONT
Realization of a complete GPON (Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) network from the scratch with
an OLT Zhone MXK 319 and ONTs Zhone ZNID-2516 and ZNID-2517.
connected between them through a PLC splitter (Planar Lightwave Circuits Splitter) including: physical set-up,
dedicated earthing system and workbench. Configuration of the UPLINK and DOWNLINK boards. ONT configuration.
Realization of an optical attenuator with a coil of optical fiber in order to simulate more distance between OLT
and ONT (suscriber side).
ONT development - Programming of a commercial ONT development kit: Creation and compilation of boot
system with U-boot. Creation of filesystem in JFFS. Compilation of the Embedded LINUX Kernel and intallation in
the SoC. Compilation and installation of all software, LAN, OMCI stack and other software to make the ONT operable.
Programming and burning in the ONT kit was carried out through EJTAG, UART and LAN, whilst in the OLT the task was
performed with RS-232 and Telnet/PuTTy. The file transfer to the ONT was realized through TFTP.

Alternative Energies
Design, startup and long term study and testing of two wind turbines (600W and 3 KW). Signal shaping and
adaptations, data acquisition with a VI (Virtual Instrument) in LabVIEW with the NI-USB 6009 board.
Control of the turbine's maximum velocity by using of electrodynamic brake. Data logging and study of the
gathered data to analyze the mean energy of winds.
Complete design of the system including the mechanical design of the turbine mast, construction supervision
and commisioning.

Reverse engineering and modifications of a LED street luminaire. Design of the main LED module.
Tests of all components of the luminaire. Measurement of footprint, isolux curves, temperature curves,
protection class (IP), selection and testing of the current switching mode power supply, copy and mass
production of acrylic lens, optical testing on acrylic lens. Mechanical processing on the heat sink,
thermal test. Colorimetry and spectrometry measurements in LEDs with integrating sphere and spectrocolorimeter.

10+ years experience in analog and power electronics design, testing and integration of different analog systems including high voltage circuits and control of electrical motors in single and three phase. Design of amplifiers, temperature, irradiation and pressure sensors.
Wide knowledge in electrical, electronics and physics measurements: Phase angle measurement with indirect methods, small light leak measurement, earth resistivity, thermal resistant measurement, irradiation footprint of a street light, viscosity measurement with light-fiber optic-phototransistor and Lab VIEW interface, cosmic rays measurement with photomultiplier tubes, among others.

PCB Design
PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design and complete prototyping. Design, manufacture and customisation of printed circuit boards of FR4 and aluminium substrate with 4 electrical layers. Design of new custom footprints, and mechanical precise boards ruled by mechanical constraints.
Design of stencils for manufacture. Knowledge in production line, wave soldering, pick and place machine, router, etc.
EDA software used: OrCAD, Altium, Mentor Graphics PADS, AutoCAD.
Microscopy analysis for reverse engineering. Transformation of vector drawing into Gerber files RS-274x
Manufacture study including stack-up, layer impedance. Calculations of layer, core and board thickness.
Selection of the PCB characteristics such as Glass transition temperature (Tg) and Decomposition temperature (Td),
surface finishes selection (HASL, ENIG, Immersion Silver, Immersion Tin, OSP).Due to confidential agreements with certain companies, in some cases only a part of the design is shown.
